How Image Privacy Analyzer works

Choose the final file to see metadata structures the checker can recognize. Inspection reads the file on your device; it does not upload the source or produce a cleaned copy.

A metadata report is not definitive proof of image origin or a prediction of a platform's labeling decision.

Wat de controle onderzoekt

EXIF

Camera-, tijdstempel-, software- en GPS-velden kunnen worden herkend.

XMP

Metadatapakketten van beeldbewerkers en generatoren.

C2PA

Content Credentials op bestandsniveau in ondersteunde structuren.

PNG-tekst

Prompts en werkstroominstellingen in PNG-tekstchunks.

GPS

Locatievelden in afbeeldingsmetadata.

Privé

Geen account nodig en geen upload van bronbestanden naar de server.

Inspection workflow

1

Choose the final file

Use the file you intend to share, rather than an earlier draft.

2

Read the report

Review C2PA, XMP, EXIF, GPS and other fields when present.

3

Decide what to do

Keep the original and clean a separate copy only when appropriate and authorized.

What does Image Privacy Analyzer process?

This utility is designed to find location, device, author and editing fields that may expose private information. Processing stays in your browser, so the selected file is not sent to a Remove AI Labels server.

The result is a read-only report of recognizable containers and fields. Use it to choose a focused remover instead of deleting every field by default.

Choose the right metadata tool

EXIF commonly stores camera, time and GPS details; XMP carries extensible editor data; C2PA/JUMBF carries Content Credentials; and PNG text chunks can hold prompts or workflows. Dedicated tools let you choose a narrower scope.

For privacy, prioritize location and identifying fields. For distribution preparation, archive the source and clean a separate copy.

Verify before you share

Inspect the source, run the appropriate tool, download the clean copy and inspect it again. The compressed pixel data of a JPG, PNG or WebP remains unchanged apart from removed metadata structures.

For a social upload or a file from a specific generator, continue with the matching platform and export-source guide.

FAQ

Veelgestelde vragen

Does the checker change the file?

No. It reads the file and reports supported metadata fields.

Is my file uploaded?

No. Analysis runs in your browser.

Does missing C2PA prove that an image was not made with AI?

No. Metadata may be absent, removed or stored in an unsupported structure. This result alone cannot prove origin.

Can it detect hidden pixel watermarks?

No. The report focuses on file-level metadata, not every image signal.

Why does the export differ from the original?

Editors and export steps can add, change or remove metadata. Inspect the final copy.

What if the report shows GPS?

Consider a separate sharing copy without location information, while keeping the original if needed.

Does a clean report guarantee no platform AI label?

No. Platforms may use other signals and can change their rules.
